PACIFICA INC
PACIFICA INC is a national organisation with 17 branches operating throughout New Zealand. The organisation seeks to provide opportunities for Pacific women to contribute effectively to the cultural, social, economic and political development of Aotearoa.
Established in 1976 as a result of a Pacific women’s conference held in Auckland, the organisation became an incorporated society in 1977.
The regional structure ensures connectivity within regions and the ability to share learnings and be part of the policy and strategic direction of the organisation.
In 2016 PACIFICA INC completed 10 years of health education, promotion and community advisory for the Screening Unit for breast and cervical screening.
PACIFICA INC works in partnership with a variety of organisations which includes Creative New Zealand, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education, local councils and the Ministry for Pacific Peoples.
